The crackle finish is similar to that of other companies, but I've noticed that the cracks between the darker paint tends to be wider and varies widely.
Top, an earlier
NeverFail with red blush on the chin and in green crackleback. Earliest Neverfails had
hand painted gill marks, not sprayed on blush. Note the prop bearing and
extension tubes to date this lure.
Middle and bottom, are two newer, floppy prop NeverFails in green crackleback with red blush on the chin. Note the variation in the size of the cracks and lack of hardware bearing and tube extensions in front of the prop relative to the older type above. |
